High cost of fuel affects food

A scooter gas best mileage is about 200mpg, unlike a car which gets 20mpg or a hybrid that gets 50mpg. The high cost of fuel is causing corn to be converted into ethanol and soybeans into biodiesel.

The US is viewing a food shortage, we now face the tightest supply of wheat since 1946, and soybean supplies also are uncommonly low. Rice is now being rationed by Walmart.

As food is converted into fuel our future looks grim.

Flu killing children

Flu mrsa combo is killing children. The disease is spreading and making a genetic jump into a one two punch against the most weak of the population. I expect a new kind of bir flu to evolve soon.

Time Wars

Montauk timeline engineers talk about battles in the ether. WWII was not just a war with atoms, but also a Time War. The nes is most strange.

Titanic sinking preventable?

Titanic rivets contained slag impurities which made them brittle and did cause them to snap when it hit an iceberg. Mettalurgical tests reveal impurities in the rivets caused them to be brittle. These substandard rivets had slag concentrations of 9% when they should have been 2%. These impurities weakened the rivets enough to cause failure.

Harland and Wolff, the builders of the Titanic, knowingly purchased the substandard rivets - many from small suppliers and used these in areas where they expected less pressure. It was precisely in this area that the iceberg struck. Had high quality rivets been used, perhaps the ship would not have sunk and history would be different. For one thing John Jacob Astor, the richest man in the world perish. The passengers were a whose who of important people. Of 2,227 passengers only 705 managed to survive.

SSD lawsuit

Seagate is suing STEC over a patent dispute. What we have here is the giant hard drive manufacturer seagate running scared, as a tiny upstart STEC is doing battle.

The giant golaith Seagate against tiny david STEC is because instead of developing solid state drives, Seagate sat on its hands. Seagate is the GM of disk drives, it has a bunch of executives who outsource and downsize. Well, now they should close up shop. They failed to innovate and are soon to join so many other failed firms in the dust bin of history.

SSD is faster, it uses less energy, and it is the face of tomorrow, goodbye hard drive!

Future of Medicine

Instead of chemicals and hospitals, people in the future go into a machine that cures them. This healing booth looks a bit like an old phone booth back in the days before cellular telephone. People walk in and they walk out. Future medicine is fast and flat.

Green Tech

The future is green; it is better to download an ebook than buy a real book at a bookstore. However, it takes energy to download the ebook and infrastructure. Creating greener computers is a challenge.

Greener IT
is the way to go. For now we can push solar electric power and wean ourselves from smokestack coal. The future will be green if we make it so.

Salmon fishing cancel in Oregon & California

Yes, the oceans are dying. We can blame global warming or pollution, but the fact is that there are so few salmon left that fishing in not just banned, it is almost easier to find gold nuggets than fish.

I have used barium oxide bar magnet with Steven Gibbs HDR to do astral time travel and in the future the oceans are dead. There is no living thing in them. People live in dome cities.

Zero Point Energy

Many wonder what will happen inthe future. Well, we use new forms of energy. Zero Point Energy make it possible for technology to advance without pollution. Current fuel based tech must go, now we must make up our minds if we want to fund zero point, or slowly choke to death.

Time Travel Experiments

There is a person building a hyper dimensional resonator as a part of his time travel experiments. He is planning to do physical time travel to the future, but what does the future look like?

Well, on timelines where we avoid WWIII, there worldlines are quite different than the small farms of John Titor. In fact, t looks like Megatokyo. Learning Japanese is "part of potage" in these hypertechnology timelines.

The massive megamart of yesteryear is replaced the gigantic gigamart of tomorrow - a city sized mall with entertainment plazas and skyscrapers. Think of a hybrid of Disney world and the Tokyo Ginza district with ultramodern buildings and lots of neon. Quite different that the John Titor future worldline of farms and small towns. In timelines where we avoid WWIII things are happening. You see a world of pachinko parlors and anime arcades with garish over-the-top neon and sparkling skyscapers.

LuckyOliver: Tokyo Tower 1In the Card Captor Sakura, magic is used to fly around, but in the future technology makes neg grav boots possible using antigravity.

Will people be happy in a world where you can fly around? Time will tell.

new HDR

Yesterday Steven Gibbs called me to tell me that he is working on a new HDR that will be produced. It will have a grey tannish box and be siliar to our current HDR, but with a few differences. He did not elaborate how it would be similar to our present device. Not sure what prompted the changes.
