What is astral time travel like?

People ask me about astral time travel. Here is something that looks typical of astral time travel.

"The mysteriously strange abandoned apartments had that peculiarly unsettling creepy feeling you get inside a haunted house. Their unearthly shapes were so bizarre and alien as something that hails from another dimension. Perhaps, they were built by a psychotic madman, attempting to communicate his inner turmoil. They looked like section 8 housing hatched by inhuman creatures from another world. It seemed that they were as distorted as twisted trees of an unusually frightening nature.

There was a glowing red neon sign written in some strange foreign language. The harsh blood red light was spooky to the extreme. The ghostly light emanating from the windows felt both sinister and nightmarish. These freakishly odd structures were screwball to beyond belief, more so the usual in astral time travel. Where was I?

I felt difficulty breathing in the dreadful silence. A bum who had taken residence there emerged from behind some bushes; his steps made a queer hollow noise as he slowly walked up an old rotted stairs. There was something not right with this place, it seemed infested with weirdness. Inside his room there was a strange chemical odor barely masking the rancid rottenness of moldy mildew. I felt impending doom as I saw him walking on the creaking rotten unstable floorboards looking out on the eerie landscape."
