Perhaps one scenario most do NOT anticipate is a burst of gamma rays. This would truly blind side us. Well, there would be no advanced warning. Brilliant gamma ray burst did cause extinction 440 million years ago. Hey, that is what they say. Like we were not there, but it would hit us with zero warning.
