Oil prices at 2009 high

Last week, for the first time in month I paid over $3/gal for gas. True, this is less than last year when I paid over $4/gal, but in January of this year gasoline went as low as $1.39/gallon. It rose to $1.87/gallon in April, and then exploded in may.

This cannot be good news for our economic crisis. Sadly, many firms are barely holding on. This means less money is left over to buy things. Trade deficit continues to widen as people buy cheap chinese goods in an attempt to save money.
